Head physio Dr Jo Brown

She brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to her role. Jo graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in Otago in 2000 and went on to complete a Postgraduate Diploma in Acupuncture in 2002. After working with Surf Life Saving and regional rugby and sevens teams in New Zealand Jo came to Australia, finding her feet amongst the Australian Winter Olympic speed skating, snowboarding, and aerial ski teams.

Jo’s passion for water sports however took her back to swimming and she has since dedicated the last 10 years of her work-life to overhead sports. Jo has worked and extensively travelled for Swimming Australia. A career highlight has been working as an Australian Open physiotherapist, whilst travelling as the Sports Science Sports Medicine Manager for the Australian Paralympic Swim team at the London 2012 games was perhaps her most challenging of roles.
